The day we left for Canada, we woke up at 4:30 in the morning, tossed the still-sleeping kids into the van, and drove 13 hours from our home in North Carolina to my in-laws house in Dunnville Ontario.
We arrived around supper time.
After we unpacked and fed, I got on my bike and rode the 6 mile round trip to James N Allan Provincial Park so I could take in the natural beauty that is Lake Erie (they don't call em "great lakes" for nothing.
I brought along a Canadian Flag to mark the occasion. While living the immigrant life in North Carolina gives me very few reasons to complain (really, its working out very well for us), but there is really no feeling like coming back to my homeland. I am an unashamed, unapologetic (ironic, eh?) hard core proud Canadian, and this country is always going to hold a special place in my soul.

Anyhoo, enough waxing patriotic, so here are some more pics of my bike ride to Lake Erie.
Finishing off with this great panoramic shot (thanks AutoAwesome!)
