Bears Go East: Southern Bound

The following events happened on July 13th, 2013
Our east coast trip has reached its apex, and we're now working our way back home.

So far we have driven from North Carolina up the eastern seaboard of the United States, and toured all four Maritime provinces of Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island).

We woke up today in Charlottetown PEI, and we need to get to Bangor Maine by nightfall.  It is a long journey and we spent most of it in the car driving ridiculously fastlegal speed limits through Canada.

I did manage to find a cache in two Canadian provinces and one US state, which is a new personal record for cross-border caching (previous was one state and one province).

We also stopped by the reversing falls to see the difference since we saw it 10 days ago heading north(check out the difference here).

We ended the day in the home of some geocaching friends in Bangor Maine: brdad and msteelee.  You may remember them as I did the Rhode Island Delorme challenge with them at the beginning of my trip (recapped here).  They had invited us to spend a couple days with them, so we are taking them up on it.

You'll be able to read all about that in tomorrows post.  Stay Tuned!
